■ The 1st China-Japan Academic Symposium on Nuclear Fuel Cycle (ASNFC 2011) (Draft Version) November 30 - December 3, 2011Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China
Conference Scope	There is no doubt that nuclear energy plays an important role in long-term energy security and global warming prevention. Although the Fukushima Daiichi accident gives enormous impact on nuclear politics in Japan and around the globe, we believe that nuclear energy is an inevitable choice to ensure energy supply and reduce carbon emission in many counties. On the other hand, to realize a sustainable development of nuclear energy for the future, it is necessary to establish a closed nuclear fuel cycle to save uranium resource and minimize radioactive waste accumulation. ASNFC 2011 will provide an important opportunity for the scientists and students from both China and Japan to exchange scientific information related to nuclear fuel cycle.

Accommodation	ASNFC 2011 Office could do room reservation at the guest house of SJTU at Minhang Campus based on request to “rqliu@sjtu.edu.cn”. Room charge is around 400 RMB or 5,000 JPY per night. The Shanghai Nanya Hotel (http://shanghainanyahotel.chinahotel.com.cn/) is located 2 km from Minhang Campus of SJTU.
Abstract preparation and submittal	lease prepare your abstract (two A4-pages) using MS-Word format (.doc) and Times New Roman font with single space. Set all margins to 25mm. Title: 12 pt., bold. Author(s): 11 pt., Affiliation(s) and address(es): 11 pt., italic. List presenter first with asterisk after name. Include other authors (if any), then asterisk before affiliation. Main text: 11 pt.. Place a blank line between the title and author name(s), and between address(es) and the main text. A template of abstract will be sent to you based on request to “wangxinpeng@sjtu.edu.cn” Please submit your abstract to “wangxinpeng@sjtu.edu.cn” by October 31, 2011. A CD containing address book will be distributed to all participants.
